Search Engine Marketing Manager

Builder Homesite Inc. (BHI) is seeking a Search Engine Marketing Manager with 1-2 years experience to manage pay-per-click and organic search programs for BHI websites and BHI clients. This position has primary responsibilities for search marketing strategies and will report to the Vice President of Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not inclusive):

  • Develop, implement and manage both pay-per-click and organic/natural search internal marketing campaigns across Google, Yahoo, & MSN.
  • Manage campaigns effectively to cost per acquisition targets.
  • Manage to short and long-term marketing plans within budget and ROI targets.
  • Continually evaluate and improve the effectiveness of campaigns thru extensive testing.
  • Manage tracking and reporting of campaigns and provide performance reports as needed.
  • Continually evaluate new opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Develop forecasts and budgets for lead acquisition.
  • Influence click-through and conversions through bid management and creative testing.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends / constantly review the marketplace for new online opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor organic rankings and the traffic and leads derived from such rankings for our internal sites.
  • Stay abreast to the best practices of SEO & PPC as search engines evolve.
  • Manage partner relationships with Yahoo Real Estate, MSN Real Estate, Trulia, Zillow, and various others.
  • Present monthly operations reviews of performance to Executive Team.
  • Own the MPL and strategic growth of our SEM Agency for client builders.
  • Mentor and manage an SEM Account Manager.
  • Participate on a leadership team that provides strategic input to the growth of the company.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS - DESIRED

  • BS in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of consumer marketing experience, with a search, online or direct marketing focus.
  • Experience managing Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and MSN AdCenter campaigns.
  • Client/account management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based on data.
  • Respectful to all but not afraid to question authority.
  • Exemplifies a contagious "can do" attitude that motivates and inspires others.
  • A teacher as well as a team player.
  • Has a high interest in the Internet and search engine industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed and an enthusiastic team player.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets to gain insights and drive business decisions.
  • Comfortable using measurement and analysis to inform marketing decisions.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, Power Point.

BHI's resides on RR620 in the former Full Court Fitness Facility. There is an onsite basketball court, workout facility, and café. The work environment is laid back yet competitive, as all employees are passionate about their work.
