Area Sales Representative
Builder Homesite, Inc. (BHI) is seeking a highly motivated, energetic Sales Representative to promote and sell online advertising to new homebuilders. The Sales Representative will be responsible for all revenue generating activities and targets within an assigned territory. Working with your Regional Sales Director, you will establish attainable yet aggressive goals on both existing as well as newly emerging products. The Sales Representative will develop the sales & marketing plan, including strategies and tactics, as well as sales methodologies to achieve or exceed the revenue goals for their territory. Currently we are looking for candidates to serve the Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA markets
Specifically, the successful candidate will:
- Meet or exceed revenue and quota expectations.
- Aggressively follow up on all leads provided through any and all channels.
- Support all sales management and business development management direction and goals as defined.
- Prepare periodic action plans to insure focused activity.
- Maintain sustained sales activities; appointments, proposals, phone prospecting and database updates.
- Keep abreast of product features and changes to competently propose solutions to existing and prospective customers.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the BHI sales process, values and code of ethics.
- Structure and negotiate contracts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for selling:
- Online listing service (advertising) to homebuilders within an assigned territory
- Online display advertising to homebuilders and other real estate related partners
- Distribution partnerships across the Internet
- Video, animation and rendering services
- Mobile Marketing-the hottest product in the real estate space
- Other products as they are launched
Additional responsibilities include understanding product capabilities and future industry developments and trends; working with marketing, sales support, and contract administration, writing proposals and quotations, license negotiations, and all other aspects of account management. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a new homebuilder, along with 3-5+ years of proven success in sales. The candidate will clearly demonstrate possession of superior consultative selling skills, and excellence in analytical, communication and presentation capabilities.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills Desired
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Proven track record of online ad sales
- A minimum of 3 (5+ preferred) years proven sales experience within the homebuilding industry)
- Active involvement in the real estate industry. Realtors need not apply unless they also have solid experience in online ad sales.
- Proven success in selling multiple products
- Possess superior skills in consultative selling
- Ability to establish relationships and sell into the new home market
- Must have strong in-personal presentation skills, follow-up and the ability to close the sale
- Ability to take initiative, be motivated and eager to succeed
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet with high level industry decision makers
- Demonstrated understanding of technology and the technology marketplace
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate with a diverse customer base
- Ability to meet strict deadlines with specific deliverables
- Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Internet
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers
- Experience within the new home market is preferred
