What To Send

When sending your creative via e-mail, please include:

• Contract name (campaign identifier)
• Submitter's name, number and e-mail address
• Builder Homesite contact
• Creative start/end date
• Destination URL for click through for each banner/market (if URL is not included we will default to your homepage).
• ALT text
• The number of creative pieces attached. If sending multiple banners, please submit a zip file.

Please list in detail any special instructions required for contract, including replacements, additions and deletions of creative. If sending multiple campaigns or creative, specify in a text file which creative corresponds to which campaigns and list which creative should be scheduled where. Also include dates if rotations are to be changed mid-run.

Acceptable File Formats

• Creative formats include GIF, JPEG, animated GIF89a, HTML 3.0, Flash 6 (see below for Flash specifications), JavaScript; other rich-media formats accepted upon review.
• Third party served ads (from Atlas, BlueStreak, MediaPlex, etc.) accepted upon review.

Flash Specifications

NHS can not alter Flash files or install fonts.

Flash files must:

1. Be in .swf format
2. Open in a new window
3. Include a clickTAG variable as seen in the image below (do not code the URL directly into the Flash file, but attach in a .txt file)



4. Include an HTML browser sniffing code
5. Include a component .gif or .jpg file (no larger than 20k) for users who do not have Flash plugins installed.

Third-Party Ad Serving

NHS allows third-party ad serving and accepts three types of third party redirects, upon review:

• Simple Redirect (image src and href), or
• Javascript or IFRAME/Javascript tags, or
• Rich Media.

Color Palette

256 (or fewer) adaptive colors with flat colors chosen from Web-safe palette

Animation

All animated banners must be viewable in both Internet Explorer and Netscape/Mozilla browsers.

Pop-under, pop-over, or flyover ads

Newhomesource only supports these types of specialty units on a 'builder' detail page.

Expandable Units

Newhomesource.com does support 'expandable' ad units. Expandable creative must be tested internally and may be subject to modifications based on findings. All publisher files cannot be hosted on the Newhomesource.com server. All publisher files must be third-party served.

Expandable units must be user-controlled. When a user rolls the mouse over an expander ad, the banner instantly expands. When the user moves the mouse off the ad, the ad will return to its original size.

The Newhomesource.com ads that can be sold as expandable are:

• 300x250
• The 300x250 ad expansion can only happen with the 'Middle3' unit on the Community Results page. This is the 'bottom' 300x250 ad.
• The ad can only expand 'beneath' the ad.
• The ad can only expand to a maximum height of 400 pixels.
• Leaderboard unit (468x60) or (728x90)
• The ad can only expand 'beneath' the ad.
• The ad can only expand to a maximum height of 200 pixels.
