Austin, Texas (July 18, 2007) – The Austin Children’s Museum is delighted to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website. Thanks to the volunteer efforts of Builder Homesite, Inc. (BHI), this project involving hundreds of man-hours was delivered at no cost to the Museum.
The new website introduces enhanced navigation, a clean design and special features ranging from a search by age function to a calendar function where users can set up text message reminders to Museum events. The website continues to provide the latest information on the Museum’s exhibits, programs, events and other offerings including parties, membership, store, volunteer opportunities and donor information.
“The benefits of the new website extend to both our external audiences and internal staff,” said Mike Nellis, Executive Director of Austin Children’s Museum. “Not only will web visitors find the information they need easier and faster, but our ongoing maintenance has been considerably streamlined. We appreciate BHI’s generosity and dedication to this project.”
Tim Costello, CEO at BHI, comments, “Our team wanted to give back to the community in ways that would take advantage of our talents. Developing the new website for the Children’s Museum seemed an ideal way to accomplish this.”
