Deal creates new home channel for RealEstateJournal.com
AUSTIN, Texas, January 19, 2006 – Builder Homesite, a consortium of 36 of the nation’s largest homebuilders, announced today that they have partnered with RealEstateJournal.com, The Wall Street Journal’s guide to property, to create a new home listings section. The “New Construction” area on RealEstateJournal.com contains hundreds of thousands of easily searchable new home listings containing descriptions, photos, maps, plans and more.
RealEstateJournal.com’s New Construction section is powered by Builder Homesite’s flagship product, New Home Source. New Home Source provides prospective homebuyers with the most comprehensive information and selection of new homes available online. The powerful search engine was designed by builders specifically to address the way that consumers search for new homes.
RealEstateJournal.com is a complete online guide to buying, selling and maintaining a home. Content comes from the powerful editorial resources of The Wall Street Journal, WSJ.com, both published by Dow Jones & Co. Inc., and alliances with top real-estate information providers. This combination brings accurate, trustworthy information to the consumer’s desktop, all of it completely free.
“We’re excited to work with The Wall Street Journal’s RealEstateJournal.com to deliver our powerful search engine to their site and provide added value for our builders,” said Tim Costello, President and CEO of Builder Homesite. “New Home Source recently celebrated five years of helping consumers find the perfect new home online and we’re proud to bring this expertise to RealEstateJournal.com.”
“The addition of Builder Homesite’s new home listings gives RealEstateJournal.com visitors the ability to search new home listings from the nation’s largest homebuilders,” says Tony Lee, publisher RealEstateJournal.com. “We are pleased to incorporate an online marketplace focused specifically on the new home market into our residential offerings.”
